Delta Chi was the fraternity that the Betas found to meet the expectations of their brotherhood. Their affiliation with Delta Chi was looked upon as an excellent opportunity to pursue their objectives. Delta Chi International Fraternity was founded at Cornell University on October 13, 1890. On March 21, 1967, we became a colony of Delta Chi and on April 21, 1967, twenty-two founding founders were officially initiated into Delta Chi at Ball State University. On May 24, 1969, at 8:15 p.m., we officially became the Tri-State Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity, which included a total of sixty-three Charter members. In the more than forty years at Tri-State, Delta Chi has never lost sight of the ideals of its founders and our legacies of Beta Phi Theta, Lambda Phi Epsilon, and the “411 Gang”. Those chosen for brotherhood are men of courage, initiative, and fortitude before our eyes. Its men are chosen for their scholastic abilities and their qualities of leadership. By this method of selection, the chapter has banded together a group of men whose goal is the same, and whose leadership and brotherhood are outstanding. This policy of selection has insured lasting life and leadership for our fraternity, and has made Delta Chi one of the most honored and respected organizations on the Trine University campus (formerly Tri-State)
